Alesha Dixon won the Strictly Come Dancing. Whilst not a ballroom fan, I really admire the hard work these people have put in. I see the judges are wanting more money for next time. £60,000 for 12 weeks is not enough, I wish. About time old Bruce Forsyth moved along. His jokes are a bit thin and worn, and he keeps using old his old cliches from his old shows.
England drew the Test match, lucky with the help from the weather. We were beaten all ends up in bowling, fielding, and especially batting. Good job we don't face the Aussies next. I hear Michael Vaughan has suggested performance bonus's. What a joke, if pride can't spur you on playing for England, then you should not be in the team. If you you make runs or take wickets your bonus is that you will be in the next test.
Tottenham lost again yesterday to Arsenal. A point was lost with Robbie Keane missing a penalty.
Worked yesterday, had several viewings of houses. My company for information is Ryder and Dutton. Today we are preparing for Xmas, getting the house ready for guest on Christmas day.

Mobile Phones and other bits
The Crown Prosecution service wants people who use mobile phones whilst driving to be sent to prison. It seems abit draconian, as burglars, thieves, robbers etc do not always get that sentance. As an ex police officer my opinion and that of many officers is not very favourable towards the CPS. Yes, using the mobile is wrong when driving. Is any phone call really that important.
My son has been at Pulse Radio again today, and after Xmas will be reading the news for five days. His Japanese girlfriend seems to be settling quite well with us, and is enjoying the build up to Xmas.
Today at the estate agents I had five properties for viewing. Its quite nice looking round other peoples properties. Tomorrow I am day off from work, then just Saturday to work before Xmas.
I see the three Guantanamo Bay British residents have been released for US military custody. One is wanted in Spain, and is back in custody under an International Warrant. He may be going to Spain, to answer matters there. It remains to be seen if the Government will allow them to reside in this country, as none of the three are British citizens.
Finally it looks like a Briton is going to be released from the US where he has been on Death Row for 20 years. Apparently he was at one stage one hour from execution, having had his hair shaved etc. prior to the electric chair. His conviction has been ruled unsafe, and he has pleaded no contest to manslaughter instead. He is expected back in Britain soon. Lucky fellow!!

More News and Views
Oh well went to work again at the Estate Agents. Not too many viewings of properties today. The time of year, financial crises, etc, but hopefully will pick up in New year. Had a good appraisal with my boss, so that was OK, then went down the Colne Valley area of Huddersfield delivering leaflets.
Got home tonight from work, and my wife Jill had put up a little Christmas tree in the hall, the real one will follow later. She had been out and bought quite a few more presents.
Goods news for borrowers today, the Bank of England Interest Rate fell by one quarter of ane percent. Apparently it saves about £16 per month on a £100,00 mortgage. apparently it should refuel the retail market.
The shooting in Omaha, USA was a tragedy. How on earth do these young kids get the weapons in the first place, and what motivates to then go and massacre all those poor people. As they say in here in Yorkshire, `There's nowt as queer as folk'.

Another Day
Well yesterday I went to work at the Estate Agents, and completed viewings at 4 properties and distributed leaflets at various locations. At least the weather was kind to me.
Saw the news, a bit of shame for the teacher in the Sudan, amazing really, but different cultures have different values.
Good result for Tottenham Hotspur last night in the EUFA cup. A badly needed win.
Today I am day off, currently have electrician putting up some exterior lights.

Rubbish and Work
Well I spent Monday putting away garden ornaments for the winter, then I helped my wife with tidying the loft. We ended up with two loads of things for Oxfam, and one car load for the tip. exciting or what.
On Tuesday we went to Sheffield city centre for shopping, and visited Lewis's, and several other large shops. I bought nothing, but Jill bought some clothes. I don't like shopping. We used the park and ride and went into the city by tram.
Today I went to work at the Estate Agents. I had several houses and apartments to show to potential buyers, or people wishing to rent. I also delivered the company leaflets, and then it rained. A pretty typical run of the mill day. Lets see what tomorrow brings.
Upon arrival home my wife had been to the shops and bought me a bottle of single Speyside 12 year old malt scotch whisky. Now thats a gift worth coming home to.
