New Years Eve News

Football first, Spurs won 6-4 against Reading with Dimitar Berbatov scoring 4 goals. If you want to see goals a plenty head for White Hart Lane. It was terrible news at Motherwell, where their captian Phil O'Donnell collapsed and subsequently died. He was only 35, still a young man.

Benazir Bhutto has named her son, Bilawal Zardari, to be the next leader of her opposition party in Pakistan. Its a good job the same thing doesnt happen here. When Margaret Thatcher stepped down, we could have had her son Mark leading the country, God forbid.

In Kenya Mwai Kibaki was swron in as President again. His opponents allege the result was fraudulent and there has been trouble with the opposition Raila Odinga and his supporters. About fifty people have died. Its a good job politics in England isn't like that, we are too apathetic to care.
